Following a year of continued growth we’re pleased to welcome Andy Burgess, as Technical & Quality Manager.
Andy brings 20 years proven experience in quality processes and electronics engineering. Qualified as an electronics engineer Andy has worked in major global blue chip companies as well as SME’s and has been responsible for several multi-million pound projects in this time.
Over the last 3 years, Caption Data have invested nearly £1/3 million in technology and new products to exploit their leading position in the market for the Internet of Things (IoT). This technology allows real-world devices to communicate to and be controlled via the internet using smartphones, tablets, PCs and any other internet enabled device, via any browser.
Caption Data’s headcount has increased by nearly 100% in the last year, in addition they have participated in 2 Ph.D. Internship programs hosted and facilitated by Warwick University.
Jon Penn, Managing Director at Caption Data said, “Andy joins the team at a crucial time, as we prepare to launch two new products which further increase our innovative offering for new and existing customers.”
The company expects the growth in staff numbers to continue in 2015, with the next additions likely to be in a sales and marketing role.
