We are pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, Paul Sanders will take on the role of Managing Director. As a founding director Paul has been instrumental in shaping Caption Data from the start. With an unwavering passion and vision for the business it certainly marks the start of a new chapter for us here at CDL.
Paul said: ‘There are exciting times ahead and I relish the opportunity to continue our growth, giving our
customers great service and nurturing our company culture carefully.’
Nick Boocock, Operations Director, had this to say about Paul’s promotion. ‘Congratulations to Paul on his promotion. I look forward to the business growth with more time dedicated to the MD role. Paul’s continued dedication to CDL over the years combined with his perspective on the company’s direction, made him the obvious choice for the job.’
Paul takes over from Jon Penn who, for the last 8 years, has been part time MD and a major investor. Under Jon’s strong leadership and guidance CDL has grown significantly. The change has been driven by recognition of the need for a full-time MD, to manage a bigger business whilst continuing to deliver upon our evolving plans for growth in the future.
Jon will continue to be involved with the business, and remain both a shareholder investor and director, but on a reduced time basis.
Reflecting on Jon’s time as MD Dan Mackdermott, Technical Director, said ‘Having Jon on hand at CDL has been invaluable. His experience and guidance have steered us through some interesting times and we wouldn’t be where we are today without him.’
Paul Sanders, Managing Director, added ‘We have come a long way with Jon in ten years and I thank him for his unwavering belief in CDL. Jon’s steady hand on the tiller has always been vital to CDL’s journey.’
